What are anime and cartoons?
Anime is nothing but animation which belongs to the Japanese people. It has its boundaries and limitations added to the internal and external characteristics that belong to characters. Many mainstream dictionaries suggest it to be a form of visual art that originated in Japan. But today, it has become a genre of itself and has grasped the world very quickly and effectively.
While Cartoon, on the other hand, is another form of visual art and can be in the form of a painting, drawing, or a mere sketch. The basic purpose behind it happens to bring smiles or satire out there in the mind of viewers. These are widely popular among children as well as in the newspapers, books, or magazines, as they happen to be a very light weighted but impressive way of expressing one’s opinions or beliefs.
Deference betune Anime and Cartoon…
Anime form of art originated in Japan, and most the movies, etc., are produced and made in Japan only.
The cartoon form of art originated in the United States primarily and is now produced worldwide in almost all the major countries.
Animes focus less on the animation of movement.
Cartoons focus more on the animation of movement.
Animes focus more on settings, background, and characters.
Cartoons focus less on settings, background, and characters.
Anime targets both children and adults.
Cartoon mainly targets children.
Anime often contains somewhat complex and mature subject matter.
Cartoon often contains humorous and adventurous themes.

Ok, guys in short anime are sexy, life stories made by Japanese creators. Most of this is based on the manga and light novels. Yes, some are exceptions. Which are anime original. Doesn't follow any source.
And cartoons are made by American creators. Cartoons don't follow any source. All are original works. Some dose has a slice of life story but doesn't contain ecchi moment like anime…
